Carol is an agent who listens, knows the market & always has your interests as her top priority.

From the initial appraisal, through to planning a marketing a campaign, staging the house and organising the photography and advertising, Carol worked tirelessly to ensure I could achieve the best result possible in the sale of my property. I was kept informed through every stage of the process, getting viewer feedback regularly. Carol was amazing with following up after open homes which ultimately meant the people most serious about purchasing were in the auction room on sales day. My house sold under the hammer, providing a great result well in excess of what I imagined my property to be worth, after just a three week marketing campaign. Carol was also instrumental in helping me find my next long-term home. She listened to my requirements regarding property location, size and price point and arranged viewings of properties that were yet to come to market. Within a week of selling my home, Carol had shown me through my ideal next property and guided me through an incredibly competitive bidding process, allowing me to secure a great home in my dream location. As both a seller, then being a buyer I could not have asked for more professional yet personalised service where Carol worked extremely hard to ensure great outcomes in both homes transactions. I highly recommend Carol Dovey as an agent who listens, knows the market and always has your interests as her top priority. Thanks Carol. Cheers.

The helping hand we needed to buy with confidence

With Carol's expertise guidance and her ability to efficiently arrange multiple viewings, we were able to find a house that fit our very particular needs within just a matter of days. We wouldn’t have been able to do it without her help as she gave us the confidence we needed to make the decision – thank you Carol for all of your help and your dedication to our search.

Carol has consistently shown competence, diligence, and knowledge of the market...

Carol had sold a property of ours in 2018 so when we wanted recently to list our property on the market, Carol was the obvious choice for us. Carol has consistently shown competence, diligence, and knowledge of the market and has regularly kept in touch during the process which on all occasions provided excellent results for us. While they both were scheduled on three week campaigns to go to auction we were briefed on the process and walked through on the day. One sold after auction and the other resulted in a pre-auction offer that was handled professionally and discreetly resulting in a sale price we were happy with. Knowing that there was keen interest she held open homes both Saturday and Sunday resulting in a very high level of market exposure. Post auction follow through has been thorough also. Knowing we were also looking for a new property Carol helped us negotiate the purchase of an ideal property that met our brief, before the preferred property was exposed to the general market and this made for a smooth transition of our situation. Carol also sold our daughter a house after hunting for about 6 months, which has worked out extremely well regarding the strict criteria she was hoping for.

Carol as a proactive and trustworthy real estate agent.

We have had the privilege of having Carol Dovey as our real estate agent in the sale of our home and the purchase of a new home. Along with her professionalism we have been very grateful for her friendliness, and her care and empathy, throughout the process. We found ourselves in a very stressful situation over the sale of our property but Carol’s optimism, her perseverance, and her positive attitude helped immensely. Throughout the process her communication has been open, honest and informing, and Carol made herself available to answer any, and all, inquiries at any time. Carol has been generous with her time. In the process of purchasing a new property and preparing us for the auction process Carol has been first rate. We have been well-informed throughout, and this led us to a successful outcome. Carol is a part of a very effective real estate agency led by Gordon Stewart who was positively and empathetically involved. Carol’s bubbly personality and good humour have certainly been appreciated during this pretty stressful time. Her positive relationship building has been another aspect of Carol that has been substantially beneficial. We have no hesitation in recommending Carol as a proactive and trustworthy real estate agent.

Carol Dovey is the perfect mix of tenacious and caring.

When you’re making such a big financial, personal and emotional decision as buying or selling a house you want someone you know you can trust – Carol is that person. Being very particular finding a home to meet my requirements took several years but Carol stuck with me, keeping in contact about houses coming to the market that might suit and she was successful in finding me a home that exceeded my expectations, which was no mean feat! I recommend Carol to my family and friends without hesitation (she has now helped my parents buy/sell 2 houses) as finding a real estate agent you can trust, like Carol, is a rare thing.

Carol has the ability to bring sellers and buyers together using her knowledge, personal network...

We first met Carol Dovey on a wet & windy winter night when she knocked at our front door. “Have you seen my pussycat?” she asked as I opened the door. Errrr… No… I stuttered... She introduced herself by explaining that she was a neighbour & that “George” the cat had gone missing. We spent a few minutes chatting & enjoyed her easy going nature. I contacted her later requesting advice on selling a house in Matua that I had problems selling the previous year through another well respected rival company. Carol gave me her straight up opinion on what she thought we should do to get some interest in the property at the value we wanted to get. Some months later when I decided to put it on the market again, she fully explained our options for marketing, open houses & undertook a more in-depth property appraisal. Carol & her team understood our house’s unique attributes and issues. She conducted open homes & private viewings where the house was shown at its best. We had several interested parties & these were invited to the auction where it sold under the hammer on the day. Well done Carol. My old Mum also decided to sell her house & I was happy to suggest Carol at the Cherrywood Eves office.. My brother & I were charged with that task so met with Carol & her colleague where I was again impressed with the detailed market analysis presented to us. We were grateful for the house staging package she offered. They suggested ways to get the best result during the marketing period & the house sold at auction under the hammer on the day. Go Carol. We found Carol Dovey to be very helpful while looking for another property to purchase. She understood our budget & location requirements so able to find us one that ticked all the boxes. Yes. That’s three deals we were very happy with. Carol has the ability to bring sellers & buyers together using her knowledge, personal network & of course George the cat who I suspect may be very well fed.

It’s about honour, ethics and ‘doing the right’ thing....

Fay had initially contacted me when I was selling real estate in Australia. Some years later she returned to Kapiti Coast and contacted me again with a view to settling in TGA. She had a varied but not unreasonable list of ‘must-haves’ and we proceeded to view what was available. I did eventually show Fay a property out of the ‘must have’ desired outcome to an ‘almost must-have’ property. She fell in love with it and proceeded to purchase. When it came to final inspection we had some dispute with the vendor as to chattels in working order. He refused to remedy the situation so myself and EVES came to the party to help. We didn’t have to, but we wanted to. It’s about honour and ethics ‘doing the right’ thing. We are now good friends.

We would recommend them to anyone looking to Market their home in this current market

In January 2021 we were approached by Carol Dovey , currently working for Eves Realty Re the marketing of our property at 101 Chadwick Road, Greerton. TAURANGA. While we didn’t know Carol at all, at the time we decided that the time might be right for us to sell, so Allowed her to proceed with the marketing. She put her all, into the marketing, open homes and follow up and within 5 weeks came to us With the offer we were looking for. During our time of marketing we were impressed with her efforts and communication but more so After settlement when a few problems arose with the “take over process” and because we had already moved to The South Island, we needed help to sort things. Carol and her Manager, Gordon Stewart rose to The occasion, hired the necessary help, fixed the issues that has arose, which allowed the property to “Settle”. This was invaluable to us and very worthy of our mention and huge Thanks. While Carol does a great job, she also has the backup and support of a wonderful Manager Gordon Steward, and Team at Eves Realty Tauranga. We would recommend them to anyone looking to Market their home in this current market where They are looking for top performers to ensure them the best possible outcome and price.

Carol was always happy to listen and help me with any questions I had....

I first met Carol, on a rainy day in May 2018 when I visited an open home she was hosting. As soon as I walked in the door I noticed how friendly and down to earth she was, including a few jokes and a great sense of humour! I was living in Auckland at the time and was visiting Tauranga on the weekends whilst looking for a house to buy. My circumstances were not the norm where I didn’t know the exact timeframe in which I was going to be in a position to purchase a property. Carol was very, very knowledgeable, patient and understanding and no question was to much for her to answer. I consider myself very lucky to have had an agent like Carol to work with as although I had owned properties previously, I hadn’t purchased a house on my own so it was a slightly daunting process for me. Carol kept in contact with me and touched base every now and then with properties that may have been of interest, she also went out of her way to show me through numerous properties. Finally in November 2018 I found a property I REALLY wanted to buy and it was going to sell at Auction. This whole process was also slightly daunting for me as I had never bought at auction before either. We had numerous conversations and Carol was always happy to listen and help me with any questions I had, and to get things all in order to bid at the auction. She went far beyond the call of duty and it was a pleasure to work with her – I ended up purchasing the property and it was a great experience for me, and I would definitely encourage buying at Auction as its so easy and straight forward too! Thanks so much Carol!

We viewed a very wide spectrum of properties....

Annette and Mario were moving from Auckland to settle closer to family. Unsure whether they wanted to live in Tauranga, Mount Maunganui or Papamoa we viewed a very wide spectrum of properties. I eventually found them a lovely unit in Pillans Point which they tell me they still adore living in. Mario loved exercise and I see him now in COVID lockdown out walking and relishing the many harbour and park walkways we both live by. Two years later they have now found their ‘forever home’.

My purchaser had rather a long list of non-negotiables...

My purchaser had rather a long list of non-negotiables. Must have water view and a separate income. After much viewing and an unsuccessful offer I took Gael out of her comfort zone and quietly pleaded with her to view a specific property with me. She subsequently bought it and is very happy with her purchase. Canoeing around the harbour her property borders is the icing on the cake. We have become friends also...and now I have also sold her ex-partner a new home.
