Experience counts for everything when it comes to negotiating.

This was our 3rd real estate deal with Carol Dovey who had previously sold our mums house and then ours. We asked her to show us properties to meet our specific requirements and we again received the benefit of her knowledge of the available properties. She showed us a new listing that went straight to multiple offers the day we saw it. I Carol calmly lead us through the process and how to present the best offer to gain the vendors attention and approval. Ours wasn’t the highest number but had the best conditions. We won the multi-offer and secured the house. We have no hesitation in recommending her to both vendors and sellers. Meow.

Great communicator and hard worker

Carol didn’t waste any time, sending me detailed lists of all available properties according to my description. Any of those she chose would have been suitable purchases. With her support and advice I was able to narrow it down to one in particular after only two outings with her. With her advice and support I was able to secure the house at auction leas than two weeks later. I can’t believe how easy she made the process, especially considering I live out of town.

My personal belief is we work to get the best result for the vendor...

Alex and Tina lived in Auckland and had their property in Jude Place rented. At one point I had a buyer specifically looking to purchase in this area so I did a mail drop to search for anybody contemplating selling. The tenant passed on my flier and Alex replied and though he wasn’t interested in selling at the time was happy to be added to my data base whereby I send out what is happening in the Tauranga property market monthly. They were keen to sell privately but after a few discussions realised they were better off using a professional. We agreed to stage the home to get the best possible outcome and proceeded with the sales process. On auction day, there was no cash interest in the auction room so we priced it at a ‘selling price’ not a negotiating price! Reserve was $700,000 and we achieved a sale within the week. The offer was actually with an agent from another company. Not all agents are happy to do this. ‘My personal belief is we work to get the best result for the vendor, wherever that interest comes from.’

Carol supported me as a buyer as well as representing the interests of the vendors

Carol supported me as a buyer as well as representing the interests of the vendors. I had never met Carol, but she engaged with me at the open homes when I asked questions and she got back to me promptly with answers. She even liaised with another potential buyer for me to pay half the fee the other had already paid for a valuation required by the mortgagor, which would have helped me and assisted another potential bidder to come to the auction. She also advised me on auction procedure as a first time bidder. After I had purchased the property I made a request through Eves to go back to the property to measure the fridge space so I could buy one and have another look and measure up of the house. At this stage Carol was recovering from hip surgery and not working. The other agent I had made the request through was not helpful. Although incapacitated, Carol noticed my request as I had CCed her in, and she contacted me to see if the agent had got back to me. She then followed up and arranged with the vendor to contact me and arrange a visit time. I am very impressed with her pre-sale and after sale care and professionalism.

Gets The Job Done!

Carol and I have been friends for over twenty years and I am very familiar with the way she works so she was my obvious choice when choosing an agent to help with selling my property and re-purchasing. My property was is Gisborne so Carol recommended an agent there for me and assisted with all the paper-work which was a huge help to me as it’s certainly not something I do oen. I was hoping for somewhere in the $7s but ended up with a whopping $................Once we knew I had the money coming Carol and I sat down and chose a hit list of proper#es to viewwhile she eliminated a lot that I had considered by talking to other agents on my behalf.We viewed several proper#es and I fell in love with one. We decided to write up an o%er but found out there were two already being presented to the vendors that day. All of a sudden the pressure was on as I was now in a blind mul#-o%er situa#on. Under Carol’s guidance I was the lucky purchaser! I am absolutely thrilled with my home and even more thrilled I got it as the amount of proper#es available has decreased while the prices have gone up. I would de)nitely recommend Carol as hard-working and trust worthy. She listens to what you want, has great intuition and gets the job done.

She listened to what we wanted and followed through....

We chose Carol to be our listing agent after seeing her in action at an Open Home. She was friendly and informative about the house while still letting us absorb the atmosphere of the house itself. After the Open Home she kept in touch; periodically sending us listings in a personalised email and listening to our feedback about what we were looking for. She guided us through the listing process, meeting our need for the level of information that was appropriate for us. She listened to what we wanted and followed through. She gave us a price range that she thought our house would realistically sell within but recommended auction so that we could see what the market was achieving. This was good advice as we got a premium price on the day. The sales campaign was short but the house was viewed by a large number of people. Carol always rang first and verified a viewing time with us. She was flexible and always positive. From our experience with her I would recommend her to others who were thinking of selling.

A really great experience

We were so impressed by Carol’s enthusiasm and professional manner. She guided us thoroughly through the process of listing and selling our home. She worked really hard for us to get a great price for our home. She vetted perspective purchasers really well and followed them up in a timely manner. Overall a really great experience.

Fabulous experience

She is an absolute delight and made the process plain sailing for us.

What a pleasant easy ride we had selling our home in only 3 weeks involvement with Carol Dovey, whom Bob had meet earlier through friends readying themselves for their sale.  She is an absolute delight and made the process plain sailing for us. She felt like a family member, very bubbly, kind and efficient. We were totally relaxed and shared lots of laughs and scones for morning teas. Auction day both Carol and Gordon excelled themselves with the handling of things, us especially!  Encouraged us to keep things going and succeeded. We highly recommend Eves, especially Carol, in their expert involvement over those 3 weeks and on Auction Day and since.

Competent, diligent and knowledgeable...

Carol had sold a property of ours in 2018 so when we wanted recently to list our property on the market, Carol was the obvious choice for us. Carol has consistently shown competence, diligence, and knowledge of the market and has regularly kept in touch during the process which on all occasions provided excellent results for us. While they both were scheduled on three week campaigns to go to auction we were briefed on the process and walked through on the day. One sold after auction and the other resulted in a pre-auction offer that was handled professionally and discreetly resulting in a sale price we were happy with. Knowing that there was keen interest she held open homes both Saturday and Sunday resulting in a very high level of market exposure. Post auction follow through has been thorough also. Knowing we were also looking for a new property Carol helped us negotiate the purchase of an ideal property that met our brief, before the preferred property was exposed to the general market and this made for a smooth transition of our situation. Carol also sold our daughter a house after hunting for about 6 months, which has worked out extremely well regarding the strict criteria she was hoping for.

A very pro-active agent...

Grandma was now under pressure to secure a property to fit the new budget and the extended family of 3 adults and 8 children. This was no easy ask and there didn’t appear to be anything available. I sent an email out to my many fellow salespeople with an urgent need for help. The massive size of our team enables us to draw on huge resources. A Bayley’s PA saw my plea for help and suggested a potential property we had not yet considered. We quickly viewed the property and decided it was perfect and we then endeavoured to achieve finance to bring it all together. This was no easy task due to many circumstances. However, we managed to reach a successful conclusion and the family love their new home. Over this period at times I felt like the 12th member of this loving family.
