Difficult challenge selling leasehold property. There needs to be a better way to compensate Māori landowners for taking their land than by selling property on basis of $1000 pa GROUND RENT that ends up costing unwitting overseas investors close to $20,000 pa . Bought $330,000 2004 sold for a tenth of purchase price and everyone in NZ made money including your agency on 30% commission . I will be advising my network not to invest in NZ.
