We used RateMyAgent reviews to select 5 real estate agents which we then interviewed. Andrea was head and shoulders above the rest. Her fees were slightly higher than the rest but she provided references that I spoke to and their advice was emphatic: Pick Andrea - you will have no regrets. And I didn't ! Andrea is clearly passionate about changing peoples lives for the better; she has just chosen 'real estate' as the vehicle to achieve that. Her assessment of the property was honest and spot on. She had a clear view on which marketing strategy would be best, and why, and was willing and able to discuss this openly with us (A good example of working "with" not "for"). Her communication was outstanding - I'm sure she had other properties to sell but we would never have known; I always felt like we were number one in her existence. The organisation of the Open Homes was spot on and we received weekly reports of progress as well as multiple phone calls, texts and emails. Everything was organised; she knew what would need to be ready next and was well ahead of the game all the time. I should also add a shout out to the Bayleys team supporting Andrea. You will meet some agents who sell the line that "I'm cheaper because you only pay for me". Buyer beware. Having such a proactive support team in the background means that that your agent can focus on what they do best - selling your property - not doing the background work (vital and perhaps not glamorous - you still need it done). Most of us don't sell properties all the time so you don't know if the promises an agent makes to you at the start will be fulfilled at the end (If they aren't it's sort of too late). As such, trust is a huge factor in selecting your agent. Andrea is proactive, honest, open, frank when required, authentic and deeply passionate about what she does.
