His professionalism, personality and presentation helped drop our stress levels

Selling our house that we built 25 years ago was not an easy decision to make but the time to downsize had arrived and we needed to get on with the next phase of our lives. We choose Anthony after researching the local sales market. Anthony appeared to have a high rate of success and an excellent turnaround in sales. From our first meeting with Anthony he put us at ease with the sale process. His professionalism, personality and presentation helped drop our stress levels and together make some sound decisions on what we expected to achieve and what he considered achievable in the current market. At all times during the sale process Anthony and his staff kept us informed. The feedback from the private viewings was immediate and informative. We were very happy that only after two and a half weeks and one open home Anthony had found a buyer and negotiated a satisfactory deal for us. At all times we were satisfied that Anthony was working in our best interests and would recommend him to anyone thinking of selling their home.

A 10 out of 10 for communication!

Anthony always dealt with us in a friendly and professional manner and was great at negotiating offers. I think he did very well to get the offer he did. Obviously I’ll always have the doubt about what it would have been sold for in the open market, but I was very happy with the offer and the timeframe it took and not having to do any more open homes! Anthony kept us in the loop with exactly what was happening at each stage of the sale. A 10 out of 10 for communication! He certainly came through on his “Anthony for Action” catchphrase! We were very impressed by how quickly he marketed and sold our property. He certainly knew the target audience for the property and worked with these people to establish a buyer at the required price.

We were always impressed with Anthony when we met him at open homes and through his ongoing communication prior to us listing our property with him. He was knowledgeable regarding the market, and he was always well prepared with the correct facts and figures. This impression was well reinforced when we contracted him to market our property. He knew exactly where it sat in the market place and the best method of marketing it to achieve the optimum result for us, which he did. His communication, forethought and approachability were superb throughout the sale process, making what could have been a stressful time very bearable. He has a wonderful support team who also contributed in a positive, helpful way throughout. I have no hesitation in recommending Anthony to anyone contemplating a real estate.

Extremely grateful for his code of ethics as a licensed real estate agent

It is with sincerity, that we acknowledge the wonderful service provided by Anthony Carppe. We recently purchased a house from his vendor, 32 Chamboard Place, Washington Valley and are extremely grateful for his code of ethics as a licensed real estate agent. From our first meeting with Anthony, his open home was set up and ready on time and we were greeted with genuine friendliness. He was prompt to follow up with us to guage our interest in the property and he quickly arranged a second viewing that fit in with our schedule. Anthony also let us know that any first offer would be treated with the respect it deserves and that he would do his best with presenting an offer to the vendor. He came around to our house, changing his schedule, we presented our offer, he left to present this to the vendor and then an hour later, called to congratulate us! We recently had the honour of meeting the current owners as our families were here visiting from out of town and Anthony arranged a viewing for them. This was an ex-factor service. We are very pleased to have dealt with Anthony. He has made this a very easy and smooth process and we hope that he is in Nelson practicing still, if we ever need his services again. We will certainly be recommending Anthony to others if they are looking to sell a home. He is a great brand ambassador to your firm. We wish Anthony continued success with the rest of his career.

Thank you Anthony and The Team

After deciding to sell our home we approached Anthony to do this for us. Anthony was prepared to visit us in the evening which was great. From the start before signing up it was explained very well the legalities, commission, marketing plan, and a good generalization of where the market was sitting at the time. A pack was also given to us with all of that information down in writing. Communication and feedback was consistent and Anthony also had a great team helping him out. The process was straight forward and clean. We were happy with the end result too.

I would definitely use him again

Selling my house was not an easy decision for me. I had been contacted by a number of agents and that increased the stress levels as to who to go with when finally making the decision to sell. I also have to add that I don’t really like dealing with sales people as my perception is they can just be after a quick sale that is going to benefit them and buggar what the seller wants. That is just my scepticism I guess! So along came Anthony. I was still sceptical after the first meeting but that is just me! Yes he was very friendly but of course what the seller wants in price can be poles away from what the agent advises you is a realistic price. I told him that if he felt he was as good as he kept telling me then it was his mission to get the price I wanted. With tongue in cheek he listed the house for the price I wanted. 3 weeks after listing I was presented with 2 wonderful offers that exceeded my expectations –“ told you so” is what I wanted to say to Anthony! He negotiated both offers in a very professional manner and kept me informed and up to date with what was happening. He had also been overseas on holiday during the initial listing of my property and his off sider was wonderful to deal with as well as his administration staff member Jane. I still found the sales process stressful and having to keep the house spic and span for viewings and open homes added to my work load each morning but found dealing with Anthony made it easier and I always felt I was in good hands. I would strongly recommend Anthony and I would definitely use him again should the need arise.

Anthony takes his job to a different level of respect

In early March my family and I started to look at residential properties in the Nelson Tasman regions. We looked at houses with Summit, Ray White and others but we felt frustrated at the lack of professionalism in some of the agents and lack of interest in us, making us feel as if we where wasting their time. When I first approach Anthony Carppe at Bayleys for a viewing of a property, I felt immediately that he was the right agent to help us to look at properties. The solar personality, the attentiveness and the professionalism of Anthony made us feel comfortable and in good hands. Fast end efficiency is printed in his DNA. It's clear that Anthony takes his job to a different level of respect to the average sales person. No wonder why he is on the top of sales person in the region often. I also have an appreciation for the kindness and attentiveness of his team at Bayley's Nelson. It is have been a very positive experience. we will be looking forward to use him again once the opportunity arises.

We would like to sincerely thank you and your team for the professional, helpful and friendly service you provided during our recent house purchase. While you were theoretically acting for the vendor, we feel that you looked after us extremely well and went out of your way to accommodate our questions, checks and inspections. One outstanding example was your joint offer to meet us at the new home late on a Friday evening when we were unable to make it to Richmond to pick up the keys during business hours. We really felt looked after and that has added to the warmth and friendliness we feel about our new home. Thanks again to you both.

You came up with a novel solution and found a buyer

• Yes, you were professional at all times and friendly. Easy to deal with, confident, well presented. • Yes, you presented offers well. It became a difficult situation as the P contamination seemed to get worse as we investigated further. My only disappointment was that we could not accept the second initial offer when the first fell through. Perhaps the second offer could have been put on hold, until the first offer became known. • Contact and feedback was good, professional and the right frequency In summary our house proved difficult to sell, due to unresolved P contamination. Whilst we knew about it, we didn't realise the damaging perception the market had of the issue, especially at such a low level. As such settlement took a lot longer than expected and I think it cost us around $20k in sale price. I think going forward market perception needs to be managed with regard to P contamination as $20k is an unfair capital loss to landlords for something that they didn't cause nor can they easily hold anyone accountable. Perhaps some investigation into health effects, trends in P contamination, P "expert advisers", decontamination options (for example Canada and US have a different perception of P contamination than NZers) to have on hand going into the sales process could mitigate buyers fears and reduce risk to both the buyer and seller, or at least give economical resolution options. You came up with a novel solution and found a buyer that I think will value the property and make it a home. Well done. Kind Regards .
