Brent grew up in Brightwater, spent a few years in Christchurch, some time in Antarctica, then ended up traveling across the world on his mountain bike. He ended up marrying a beautiful Canadian lady (Lorene) and they were based in Wyoming USA for nearly 10 years. They owned a ski lodge and lived in Yogi Bear's backyard. They really enjoyed their time there but after having 2 children the lure of Nelson, New Zealand schools and family brought them back to the are to settle in Richmond.
