The Harcourts Team, Amy Wagstaff and Abbey Collins, were asked by us to provide a valuation of our property, which they did in a timely fashion. We reviewed the valuation against valuations from other companies made over the past 2-3 years and also sought to understand the real estate market disruptions of COVID as explained by several NZ economists. Amy and Abbey then reported that they had met with a couple who had been looking for a type of property similar to ours and they asked if we would consider a viewing by that couple. We agreed and the couple confirmed their interest. It was agreed that the couple would propose a price. They did this and we accepted the offer. This simplified process avoided the need of staging, marketing etc which we appreciated. The purchasers also indicated that they hoped to acquire some of the large furniture items inside and outside the house. Amy and Abbey acted as interlocutors during this extended process. We are very grateful to both Harcourts agents for their assistance during this extended process which has greatly streamlined the sale of the house for us.

I found Abbey very helpful and professional at all times. Communication with abbey was always 10/10. It wouldn’t matter what time day or night, she was always very prompt with her responses. Abbey is warm and friendly which allowed potential buyers to view the property with ease and without pressure. She was so great with my son, as he showed an interest in realestate and she went out of her way and offered for him to join her during her other open homes for work experience. I thought this was very kind of her and my son really enjoyed the experience. I sold my property at auction but unfortunately well below my reserve and what was initially advised as the market value from the harcourts team. This was a bit disappointing and gave me false hope and a false expectation when I was viewing other properties at that value. That said abbey clearly communicated the market feedback on value during the marketing campaign which was more online to what I sold for. Overall great team and very knowledgeable of the mangawhai area.

We first met Abbey when looking for our new house. We were downsizing from a home we absolutely loved and had spent 18 happy years raising our family there. To say we were particular about what we wanted from another property is an understatement. Abbey was really personable and professional right from the start.
