As an avid golfer, Vanessa sponsors several player groups and has served on the board at Tauranga Golf Club. A bit more: Vanessa is married with two children who are both studying at the University of Auckland. To help prevent empty nest syndrome Vanessa adopted her two young dogs, Gipsy and Gio. Vanessa was the 2021 Ladies Club Champion at Tauranga Golf Club. After schooling at Tauriko Primary School and Tauranga Girls' College, Vanessa studied electrical engineering at the University of Auckland sponsored by Telecom. While at Telecom, Vanessa spent time in Project Management and Corporate Sales roles. From 2012-2018 Vanessa was the Ultrafast Fibre Project Manager for the Tauranga fibre broadband network roll-out, passing 40,000 houses.
