Originally from South Shields, England, Pete qualified as a chef, served in the British army and managed several bars and restaurants in London before relocating to New Zealand with his wife Nicki in 2002. They then owned and ran the iconic Kai Whaka pai in Wanaka for a number of years before moving to Invercargill. Pete became a real estate sales person in 2015 and “found his calling”. He loves all things real estate and goes the extra mile to ensure that his clients not only achieve their goals but have the most stress-free experience possible. An outcome of Pete’s focus on customer care is that many of his clients use him as a “life-time agent”, coming back to him each time their property needs change. Pete believes in a “team” mentality and understands the benefit that brings to his clients. His career has been built around understanding and meeting his clients needs. His passion for real estate led him to becoming Raine & Horne owner. Pete looks forward to making sure that your next real estate move is a successful one.

After 22 years as a chef and owning 3 successful resturants in Invercargill, the last being Eat On Windsor, Mark made the career change to Real Estate in 2015. New and exciting developments have now lead him to being a Franchise Owner of Mike Pero Real Estate Invercargill with the additional benefit of his wife Shelley also entering the industry. Their extensive knowledge in the service industry lead to a great awareness of exceptional customer service, an eye for detail and always the customers needs bring paramount. Bonds are formed and customers become friends. Buying and selling your home is a personal experience made better by knowing you are in safe hands and that every endeavor will be made on your behalf. Mark prioritises the Personal side of his life by enjoying the company of his wife and 3 children, home BBQs, travelling NZ and improving his golf.

Property has always been Shelley’s passion. So, when the opportunity arose to take over the Mike Pero Real Estate Invercargill franchise, she jumped at the change to pursue her dreams of selling property. After 30 years in the hospitality industry – 20 of them owning her own cafes and restaurants, Shelley is no stranger to hard work. Her history in customer-focused industries helped her hone her business acumen and communication skills. She prides herself on taking the time to build relationships, understand your needs and put together a plan achieve your goals. As a co-owner of the franchise with husband Mark Elder, Shelley is used to managing competing priorities to achieve results under pressure. She thrives on meeting and exceeding high customer expectations with honesty and integrity. Shelley’s experience and enthusiasm combined with the commitment go the extra mile will help you get the results you need. Outside of work, Shelley loves to spend time with her family and explore New Zealand with her husband.
