I have dealt with Real estate agents for almost 50 years as a property investor. Without a doubt Sean Vercammen would rank as one of the best agents I have ever dealt with. Sean communicated back immediately from our enquiry with concise answers to our questions regarding the property of interest. Having then met him on the land we were provided with a 3 hour tour of land and buildings where all relevant questions were answered without need for confirmation from Vendors. He even introduced us to neighbours. Time for him was not a problem as we left the property around 6pm even though he had wife and children at home. A true profesional and lovely man with it. Sean Vercammen showed me the home I have now purchased the morning after Northland came down from a Level Three Lockdown. He had already shown the place and had an offer on it. He had another 21 sets of people interested in seeing it. Despite the fact that he could have sold it with no effort, sight-unseen, to Auckland buyers, Sean spent time with me and with other potential buyers who arrived partway through my tour of the house and the land. Despite rain, at my request Sean cheerfully walked myself and the other clients through the land itself, pointing out various good features as though he was not getting soaked to the skin. He did not hurry me out when the next clients arrived, nor the next after that. He was calm, pleasant, accommodating and professional through the entire viewing and the negotiations that followed. When there was a potential problem with my ability to purchase the property, due to a bank glitch, he was happy to meet and do some trouble-shooting to find ways around the glitch, which we did. He then facilitated a meeting with the then owner so she could walk me through the complexities of the off-grid system, ultimately facilitating a good friendship between me and the ex-owner which has continued. At no time during the process did I feel that Sean was exaggerating the benefits of the place nor minimizing any potential problems. His presentation of the place was very positive but also realistic. He clearly wanted me to be happy with what I bought from him, even though I was not his client. He was also clearly working in her best interest. Overall, my experience of Sean was extremely positive, and if I have to sell in the future, he will be the first agent I call to list for me. Sean went above and beyond his professional requirements to sell us this home. At every point, he was helpful but at no time did he make us feel he was doing us a big favour.
