As any buyer in the current market will say it is a very competitive, difficult process negotiating against numerous others with prices at record levels. We were the successful buyers against numerous others all the while communicating with Mike on a daily basis as the deadline date approached. Mike was particularly fair and open with us indicating that all buyers are treated equally and given the multi offer situation Mike was at pains to ensure all offers were not presented through him, but rather the independence of the Office Manager. This gave us great confidence in Mike's trustworthiness and professionalism and experience. Mike remained in touch and kept us abreast of developments throughout what turned out to be a lengthy negotiation process, handling the expectations of the vendor with expertise, ultimately resulting in a successful contract for both parties. Penny and Sacha were our pick from the three agencies we took appraisals from and we were 100% happy with the decision to go with Sothebys. From the beginning they grasped our situation, timelines and understood the complications of arranging open homes and viewings around guests (we were selling a holiday home rental apartment). Everything was easy and communication was clear and consistent. They generated great excitement in the apartment even during Levels 2 and 3 of Covid restrictions, and the marketing was right on point. Finally, their advice of going to auction (with their selection of exactly the right auctioneer) was right on the mark. We were sad to sell a wonderful property but achieved a great result.
