I have known Amar Pannu for 8 years but just found out he became an agent this year. I chose to give him a chance over the top agent to sell my home in Pokeno. Initially, he showed a lot of confidence and his target to sell my property for over $80,000 to $100,000 and assured me that I wouldn't have to worry, as he would at least cover the cost of my house and make some profit. I spent a lot on landscaping, marketing , staging based on his suggestion and my property was high-quality and built by a professional builder. Amar said that I may get extra $40000 for the views behind the property. However, things took a turn after signing the contract. A few days later, I was shocked when he told me that his work partner would be handling my listing because Amar was too busy with other home listings. They started presenting my property with very low offers, claiming that these were the buyer-recommended prices. They forgot to list Hougarden despite promising. I had to follow them for two weeks, and they blamed system errors. They called Hougarden useless during the auction. They didn't list my property correctly on Trademe. It was not categorized as "new," so interested buyers looking for new properties didn't see it. They claimed to have 2 buyers for the auction, as well as one conditional buyer. However, on auction day, they discouraged me by saying there were no more buyers, that interest rates had risen significantly, no one wanted to buy a house in Pokeno. When I asked about the conditional buyer, they suddenly claimed they didn't have one. In the end, I was forced to sell the property at a significant loss. The next day, I came to know less-featured property under construction sold for $25,000 more. They claimed it had a better location near mine by the railway. Another nearby, older property very near the railway sold for $65,000 more. It was a big mistake choosing inexperienced agents.
