Having dealt with a number of agents across Hamilton, I can say that in my experience, Harcourts agents have the best knowledge of the real estate system (in my opinion). As a first home buyer, I initially worked with an RA from a well known company in Hamilton and was negatively affected by the agent's lack of knowledge, particularly related to defective property titles, which ended up costing me about 2k when making my first ever offer on a house. It was such an awful experience, but what was surprising was finding out through this process and subsequent conversations with RA's at open homes, just how little agents know about defective property titles overall. The only RA's who did have knowledge of the implications of defective titles were Harcourts agents. So, in the end, the fact that it was a Harcourts agent, Ramit Kumar, that helped me buy my first home is, I think, no coincidence. Ramit works within Shaun Cosgrave's team. I secured my first home because Ramit gave me the best advice about constructing an offer that would put me at an advantage in a multi offer situation. Ramit also took charge of ensuring I had support to meet the conditions included in the offer. His knowledge reflects his professionalism and dedication but I think also, there has got to be a culture of excellence within Harcourts related to training, teaching and technical upskilling. Working with Harcourts has meant that I am soon going to be moving into a home that I love. Ngā mihi.
