The expectation when we first met the Harcourts team in early October 2024 was the house would sell with a lot of interest considering property sales in the Timaru region were preforming well. The reality was not long after the listing a major works closure in Timaru had significant effect on the property market particularly in the price bracket the house was listed in. Surprisingly, very few visitors came to open days. To Tracey's credit she stuck to her plan of having regular open homes throughout the listing period. We always received verbal updates following an open home. After the 3 month period we changed the sell strategy which meant our expected sell price was reduced approx. $30k below the QV of the property. This seemed to generate a bit more interest and as a consequence we received two offers at the same time which forced both to lodged their best offer. The out come we accepted was an offer which was where we first thought the house would sell for. We are very happy with the outcome and pleased the house is going to a family which hopefully will utilize the spaciousness the house offers. Our special thanks goes to Tracey who has shown perseverance and professionalism during this whole process.
