Melissa not only sold our home but aided us in searching for another while we readied to sell, listening carefully to our needs and wants and sending us options regularly. She went out of her way to take us to private viewings of multiple homes and provided us honest opinions about the homes rather than lies just to get the commission. Melissa took us through this place and we knew instantly this was perfect for us in almost every way. Because we were conditional to the sale of our own home, the purchase timeframe was stressful for us while we worried about who could come and put a better offer down than we could. Melissa kept in regular contact with the agent selling the property, asking for updates on our behalf, requesting documents from the sellers on our behalf when needed, and even came into the house to measure things and walk around answering any questions we had while we were on the phone. She didn't need to do any of that, but she became the middleman without complaint and was more than happy to help us in any way she possibly could. She also helped us with the negotiating part, providing us advice of what to offer and how to do the documentation and what to look out for, ensuring we weren't caught out anywhere. She has a unique knowledge on buildings and their integrity and knows a lot more than one would first think. I was always told buying and selling was one of the most stressful experiences in your life, and there is definitely truth in that. What I was expecting to be some of the worst months while we frantically prepped our home for sale and waited anxiously for a buyer, became a well-guided and incredibly calming process. Melissa is not only friendly, approachable, and compassionate, she simultaneously has this incredible drive to ensure the best price for you and fights hard for it. She doesn't back down and isn't afraid to chase potential buyers, she takes time out of her evenings and weekends to help her clients even when it's supposed to be a day off, and always took our worried calls. Not once did Melissa make us feel like a burden when we asked her too many questions late at night, and whenever she was seeing us face to face it was always with an easy smile. I can say without a speck of a lie that if we hadn't literally stumbled into Melissa at one of her other open homes, we wouldn't have put our house up for sale. She gave us the hope that we could sell and she followed through by selling it within a month. Her unique mix of gentle ambition was refreshing for an industry usually rife with a bad rep of pushy or slimy salespeople, and it was for her honest approach and kindness that we knew it was her or no one.
