•Hayden knows his market. He is sensitive to the expectations of a vendor who might have different perceptions as to the value of the property. He was very diplomatic but clear putting forward his perception of what he saw as the market reality. As he is experienced and knowledgeable a vendor such as myself sits up and listens. One only sits up and listens when one perceives that the person delivering the message has no agenda based on his own interests. Markets are sometimes mysteriously elusive to pin down and vendors can get inflated ideas . It takes a skilled agent to manage this and deliver the reality message. Hayden is very good at that and does it without being in any way annoying or patronising. He quickly established a rapport with me because I quickly perceived that he was listening to me and taking me seriously. Out of this grew a mutual respect and the rest was plain sailing. The icing on the cake was that Hayden and I had fun selling my house. Everyone knows that selling a house is not usually fun as the stresses associated with such an undertaking are considerable. This quality in Hayden’s personality sets him apart in my opinion .
