This well-developed and highly productive dairy unit is in a prime location between Hamilton and Morrinsville.
The property comprises 65-hectares held in one title, including the majority of the farm's infrastructure, together with an adjoining 58-hectare lease block. The lease land is currently owned by the same family, who would prefer for it to continue being leased as part of the overall dairy operation, although alternative arrangements would also be considered.
It features a flat contour, peaty loam soil and subdivided into 70 paddocks (whole unit). The farm has been designed for efficient management and ease of operation. At the center of the operation is a modern well-maintained 34-aside herringbone dairy shed, complete with in-shed meal feeders and quality supporting infrastructure.
Consistent production is a feature, with the farm averaging 159,000kgMS over the past three seasons while milking approximately 390 cows over the dairy platform.
Water is supplied by a bore, and effluent is collected in a lined pond with stirrer and pumped to a travelling irrigator.
Complementing the farm is a spacious G.J. Gardner family home offering 3-bedrooms plus office, open-plan living, two heat pumps and double garaging. A second home on the lease block may be available for the buyer of the farm.
Located on Piako Road, midway Morrinsville and Hamilton, this is a compelling opportunity to invest in a proven dairy unit in a great location.
