Great advice I was smart enough to listen to!

Alison has sold a home for us at auction previously; we were happy with that result so we went with her again. Alison had a good sense of the current market, the buyers and their situations. She advised us how to decide on our sale method; we pushed back, wanting to go to auction again, however Alison backed up her thoughts with good insight which got us over the line. End result was we had multiple offers and sold for a great price, with minimal fuss. In my opinion, it was great advice; in an auction, the room would have stopped when the second-to-last person reached their limit. I'm glad we decided to follow Alison's advice based on her knowledge, understanding of the market and experience, rather than keep with our original plan. Would definitely recommend to future vendors. Would also recommend Barfoot & Thompson as an agency. They have an excellent model which allows other agents to share in the results, so you get great exposure of the property; you end up with a much bigger sales team than just the contacts of one particular agent and some advertising.
