Happy buyer, first home!

My long-cherished dream of owning a home finally came true at 40. Growing up in a big family with limited funds in NZ West Auckland, raising my five kids amid the high living costs in Auckland made it seem impossible. Through consistent work, KiwiSaver contributions, and budgeting, I, along with my two sons working at Watercare, saved $50k in a year. Combined with my KiwiSaver, we had a 10% deposit.
