Karin was my Agent for the sale of my home of 25 years at Onewa Road, Auckland in early 2021. The circumstances of the sale were far from straightforward as the property was let whilst I am overseas. Preparing my home for sale and then selling it remotely was complicated enough – let alone with the added challenges of COVID lockdowns in Qatar & New Zealand. In particular, I was sure that Karin would oversee the extremely complicated process on my behalf - including the preparations and then the sale - to the highest standards. Karin managed everything on my behalf magnificently – including full redecoration, plumbing, re-tiling, gardening, substantial deck repairs, water-blasting and Staging in advance of Open Home days and more - and even liaised with neighbours. She sourced the trades, obtained quotes for the work & then managed the work in a tight timeframe. I was very happy to trust Karin’s judgment throughout this – and I was not disappointed! In addition, Karin put together the marketing package and because I was overseas (and because of COVID), she arranged the necessary meetings by Zoom with me & with the auctioneer, lawyers & my old rental agency. My home was presented to the market at an extremely high standard thereby achieving an appropriate and pleasing price at auction in early April and completed in May. The quantity, quality & timeliness of Karin’s communication throughout the process were exemplary. This was especially important to me as every exchange with Karin & the other stakeholders was electronic – video, email etc. Karin’s excellent communication skills were maintained after the sale helping me tie up loose ends.
