Overview

A Rare Opportunity on Great Barrier Island’s U...

There are homes—and then there are sanctuaries. This extraordinary beachfront property on Great Barrier Island belongs to the latter. Set amidst raw, untouched beauty, with sweeping views over golden sand dunes and the wild curve of the beach, this home is more than a place to live. It’s a way of life. From the moment you arrive, the drama of the landscape takes hold. Towering headlands cradle the bay, while the ocean’s pulse echoes across the dunes. Step inside and the line between indoors and out blurs; every room offers a frame-worthy view. Mornings begin with birdsong and sea breeze, and end with sunsets that seem to set the sky on fire. This is a home for dreamers, adventurers, and those who understand the rare privilege of solitude in nature. It’s nestled close to some of the island’s most sublime surf beaches—quiet, secluded stretches of sand that locals cherish and visitors envy. Now, for the first time in years, this property is available. The current owner—deeply connected to the island but ready for a new chapter—has made the heartfelt decision to leave. Their departure opens the door for you to step into something truly special. Homes like this don’t come along often. Not here. Not like this. If you've ever dreamed of owning a piece of New Zealand’s coastal wilderness, this is your moment.
