He was quite clear about how the house should look and saw that it was kept tidy. He seemed happy to put the wheelie bins out and collect them in. Alan was open and honest about likely prices for the property and kept me informed about prices for similar properties. In the end, I sold for a price lower than the one we initially asked for, but I have no problem with that. It's difficult to assess his negotiation skills because in the finish we had only one prospective buyer. However, I commend him for getting a price higher than the one initially offered. Alan really put himself out for me. I will always remember the rainy night in January (about two days before the house was to go on the market) when blocked guttering caused water to run down an interior wall. In response to my panicky phone call, Alan turned up with a machine to suck water out of the carpet! In short, in my admittedly somewhat limited experience, Alan is someone I would willingly work with again.
