Tyler Broughton
Tyler gave us good vibes from the first open home we visited. This was so important, as it turned out we then had three months of negotiation with the vendor. The whole time, he kept us informed, encouraged and up-to-date with developments without being pushy or ringing us too much. He was clearly trying to do the best for both the vendor and us, which we respected. Having lived in the area for a long time himself, his knowledge was insightful, and he has a good understanding of what else is happening in the area and in the market. What we liked most about Tyler was that he kept it real. We must have visited 50+ properties and we felt like most of the time we were being spun a line, or told things about the market that were more wishful thinking from the agents than a realistic economic view. At other open homes, we heard things like 'you have to forget the CV, it's just a number that tells you how much you pay in rates', 'this whole row of new townhouses is under contract at this price' (then all the 'contracts' fall through the next day), and 'this house will definitely sell at auction'. Tyler just focused on the people in front of him, wasn't patronising, didn't say anything that he had to go back on later, and in the end, got the deal done. As much as you can't trust real estate agents (haha), it makes a difference to go through this process with someone who you feel has got your back too and is looking for common ground. Tyler did well to complete the sale and we thank him for that.
