Hard dealing w/ vendor, was only so much agent could do.vendor & agent, very frustrating & stressful

We have been quite disappointed with the way some things were handled.There were several issues that we feel should have been properly checked before we moved in.On our first day, the heat pump was very dirty and was not working properly because it was blocked.We were freezing in the house,which was especially difficult as first-home buyers.A couple of days later,we also experienced an electricity issue where the power was cut off for several days until an electrician came and fixed the problem.The HRV is another concern.The filter warning light has still been flashing,we discovered that the filter had not even been changed.We feel these basic checks should have been completed before or around the time we moved into the property.As first-home buyers, this was a very special and important milestone for our family.We honestly expected a little more support and care from our agent throughout the settlement and handover process.We had even imagined having a simple family photo in front of the billboard and perhaps receiving a small gesture, such as flowers or chocolates, on settlement day to mark such an important occasion.When a bottle of bubbles was eventually brought to us about a week later, we appreciated the gesture, but by that point,we were already feeling quite disappointed about our overall experience.We have tried not to complain too much and understand that buying a property is also a learning experience.However, the combination of these issues has made what should have been an exciting and memorable first-home experience quite stressful and, honestly, somewhat traumatic for us.Most of all, we felt quite alone after the pre-settlement inspection was completed.We understand that once settlement is finished, there are limits to what an agent can do.We also found it difficult dealing with the vendor,being caught between the vendor and the agent while trying to resolve these issues ourselves was very frustrating and stressful.
