I was contemplating doing up my rental property before selling it. Thisccwoukd have cost around $50,000 Steve's advice saved me a lot of work and time. His advice was not to go-ahead because a new owner might not agree with what was done and they would still spend money on changing things. I agreed that was a good point so left a clean slate instead. This turned out to be correct thinking. While the market has been depressed lately we had to be realistic and this resulted in a good sale after just 5 weeks or so. A very satisfying result. Steve's reasoning is based on experience of property markets boyh high and low has paid off for me.
