We recently sold our property in rural Silverdale where we had lived for 15 years. Deciding in January to pack up the home we had designed and built was a huge decision, but whilst the rationale and timing was right for us, it was not good as far as selling in the current market was concerned. We engaged Simone, whom we knew locally, to work with us and began the process of listing, advertising and open homes. Despite considerable and consistent interest in our very special property, this simply never translated into any viable offers on the table. However, you only ever need that “one right buyer” and at the proverbial last minute, Simone found them for us, on a Monday evening, with 30 minutes’ notice of a viewing! Our buyers asked to come back in the daylight on Wednesday and their offer, which we accepted, followed on Saturday. Five weeks later, we were on our way to family and friends in the South! Simone’s standing and reach in rural real estate in our area were what initially drew us to her. Whilst the process of selling, given the market we found ourselves in, was often quite challenging, we valued the excellent agent-seller relationship we quickly developed.
