We were pursued initially for our House with the promise of a good Sale and Price. In the early discussions was given a much lower than price for our Property than I would have liked but was assured by Scott that he could get anyone up and that he would be able to meet our Price. I explained that if we got a low offer my partner would always say yes and that it would cause conflict between us and that we would have to accept it or it would place undue strain on our relationship. But again, was assured that he could get anyone up and we would get the price we were after, which was reciprocated in feedback from customers who viewed our property with the previous agent and also viewings with Scott. This did not happen and there was no movement from the people whose offer we ultimately accepted. Yes, I did not have to accept it, but as stated earlier I knew my partner would say yes to anything so really didn't want such a low price to start with knowing this would happen. There was a lot of talk about getting us a good deal, but in the end it never eventuated and it was rolled over without a fight. So, while Property Brokers might be celebrating a Sale I am not. I feel let down and am not happy. I was aggressively pursued for our Listing and I really believed all the swag talk that we would geta good offer but this didnt eventuate. If it hadnt been for a medical event which cost us a Sale with the previous Agent we would have sold for a much higher price with them and for a much lower commission. The difference between the sale price and commission was $25k (not counting advertising) and that amount means a lot to us and for our future. There were aspects that were good however such as the advertising and feedback, but if we had of paid a similar amount with our previous Agent we would have likely done better. We did previously have numerous parties through on Open Homes but had to sell their own properties first. So, overall, not a good experience and feel let down.
