At the beginning of our experience, the process felt quite rushed. We were initially told that there was no other interest in the property, only to be informed later that same day that another buyer was also interested. The documents provided were not very clear, which caused confusion regarding the house deposit and led to considerable stress and several phone calls to clarify the situation. We believe that, in her haste to close the deal, the agent ended up rushing herself, which resulted in poor management. Once the purchase was secured, the real estate agent’s attitude became noticeably more polite and proactive. However, we believe this level of professionalism should have been present from the very beginning. Additionally, we were disappointed to find the rubbish bins full upon settlement, especially since Harcourts required us to leave them clean when we were tenants. It is also worth mentioning that we were informed the window panes will be replaced, as the double glazing had been incorrectly installed. Overall, our experience was mixed. While the outcome was positive in the end, the process could have been handled with greater clarity and consistency from the start.
