Coming from a non-kiwi background and thrown into the deep end of the property market, it was difficult to navigate various requirements for a first-home purchase. Matt was highly recommended by a friend when a new build in the Hutt came on the market. Matt was warm and welcoming during our meetings and what struck me most was his knowledge of the market, attention to construction materials, calculation per square area, contract clauses, negotiating upgrades and other parties such as legal and mortgage along the purchase journey. This was significant given we were entering the market at a volatile period with rising interest rates, building material shortages and developers going into liquidation. On a lighter note, Matt has a great humour when interacting with my wife and kids and we all appreciate his insights.
