It's well known that an agent is all for the vendor/s, however we felt Matt was more than fair to us as first home buyers. Overall, Matt was a pleasure to deal with, he created an easy and smooth buying process.

Matt was OK to deal with, stereotypically real estate agents don't have a good reputation for being overly honest or upfront with purchasers due to own agendas - 'slimy' are the words I've frequently heard. In this instance,when enquiring about another property, when asked about the pricing, Matt's reply was "I don't work for you, I work for the Vendor". This immediately gave me the feeling that Matt was never on my side to truly help me and my partner into our first home. This interaction setup an untrusting nature towards the purchase of our new house, with a gut feeling that we were being taken for a ride throughout. Luckily for the vendors it was a property we were keen on, otherwise we had agreed not to deal with Matt on future transactions. My advice - Clients (vendors and purchasers) is what keeps your business going, without them it's nothing, with them it booms. Look after them both, Morally it's the right thing to do.

Matt was ok. At times it took a long time to get documents sent through, and we would need to contact him a few times and once even needing to contact someone else in his office to get them sent. He was very much working for the vendor and not us a buyers as he told us directly upon our first meeting with him. However, did well with the negotiating towards the end and provided a nice gift.

Matt was great to deal with from the beginning. We engaged with Matt because he had sold other homes in our area. He had a friendly down to earth approach which matched well with us and the way he sold our home.

We engaged Matt to sell our mother's apartment at Kensington Park in Orewa. Matt took control, organised the marketing campaign, furniture staging and the open homes programme.
