When it comes to selling one's house, I have two rules of thumb: 1. Use a very experienced real estate agent; 2. Don't use the cheapest - use the best. Mary ticked both of these boxes with capital ticks (if there is such a thing). We bought a house subject to selling ours; had 2 weeks to get ours ready for listing; listed it on 21 July and Mary had it sold at the auction 10 days later on 31 July (due to a pre-auction offer bringing it forward) for more than the top end of her expected price range. Can't ask more than that from such an experienced agent and her superb support team (go Di).
