Marlene Honings believes that real estate is about people, not just property. Originally from the Netherlands, Marlene has proudly called New Zealand home for nearly 30 years. Her journey has taken her from dairy farming and veterinary nursing to living in Brazil, where she supported the development of a large dairy farming operation. Along the way she has gained a wealth of practical experience, developed a strong work ethic, and learned the value of honesty, hard work and building genuine relationships. With many years spent in farming and rural communities, Marlene has a natural understanding of residential, lifestyle and rural properties. Together with her husband Gerard, she has also bought, sold and renovated property, giving her firsthand experience of the emotions, challenges and rewards that come with every property decision. Known for being approachable, hardworking and easy to talk to, Marlene enjoys getting to know her clients and taking the time to understand what is important to them. She believes good communication, trust and keeping people informed are the foundations of a successful real estate experience. Fluent in English, Dutch and Brazilian Portuguese, with a good understanding of German, Marlene enjoys working with people from many different backgrounds. Her goal is simple to provide honest advice, work hard for her clients and help them achieve the best possible result while making the process as enjoyable and stress free as possible.
