We chose to work with Katie because she helped us purchase the land originally and had also previously sold another property for us. Given her strong presence in the area, we felt confident she would be the right person to help us through the sale. Unfortunately, the experience over the time it took to sell the land was disappointing and, at times, quite disheartening. What we struggled with most was the lack of communication and engagement throughout the process. Updates were infrequent, and in most cases, communication was initiated by us rather than Katie. There was very little sense that our property (or us as clients) were a priority. Selling land is understandably different from selling a house, and we appreciate that it can take time, but we still expected to feel supported and informed along the way. Instead, the process often felt impersonal and disconnected. By the end, even after the sale finally went through we didn’t receive so much as a phone call to acknowledge the result, congratulate us, or thank us for our business and patience. After such a long journey, that really stood out. We stayed with Katie because she dominates the local market and we felt we had limited alternatives, but overall, it was not a positive experience. We had hoped for a more genuine level of care, communication, and professionalism throughout what was a significant and emotional process for us.
