Jo commenced with Tait Real Estate as the Principal and Co Shareholder in October 2022, dedicated to driving the company’s future development.
Her passion for real estate and vision to provide a welcoming ambient environment for her team and their clients, sets Jo apart. Jo is an authentic people person, that thrives from seeing others achieve their goals. Her business values show through her solution focused communication, being forthright and addressing life head-on while being kind and clear. She nurtures her team with guidance and encouragement to help them succeed in their own personal objectives.
Born and raised in Essex, UK, she grew up working with her family running various pubs and hotels, shaping her to be naturally hospitable, inclusive of all and relating to all walks of life. Jo’s most memorable moment in the publican business was purchasing the Railway Tavern in Chelmsford. Undertaking a renovation of the premises and revitalising the business, including a big emphasis on gin and craft ale; resulting in winning the regional Pub of the Year award!
Immigrating with her family to Whangarei in 2006 she embraced the kiwi lifestyle and new ventures. Her professional experience grew to include working within the community as a Probation Officer for the Department of Corrections, and sales roles, leading into the Sales Manager within a top performing corporate real estate brand.
With her quick wit and energetic determination, Jo is committed to continually build a stronger independent real estate agency with a focus on proactivity, accountability and trusted relationships, delivering a first-rate personalised approach to workplace culture and customer service where you’re not just a number.
Outside of the workplace, Jo is the proud mum of two grown sons, two cheeky Border Terriers, and enjoys spending time with her family while exploring Northlands scenic hot spots, walking the dogs on our beautiful beaches and is a renowned Gin aficionado!
