I have asked Ingrid to be my agent on two occasions. As I found her knowledge of the local market to be outstanding. Ingrid is professional and has great work ethics, she will go the extra mile, putting in long hours to reach a good outcome. A couple of examples of this are; The week prior to my auction, Ingrid was admitted to hospital,for an emergency operation. She arranged with a colleague ( from her hospital bed) to run my final open home. I offered that the auction be deferred a week, she felt that was unnecessary. In hindsight thank goodness as it would not have been able to take place. The auctioneer came to my home a couple of night prior to the set date. This was to accommodate my work hours. The auction took place, two days after she came out of hospital, again a colleague collected her and dropped her back, as she was unable to drive, but determined to be present and supportive, as she knew I would not be attending. Settlement date was set, then COVID-19 arrived, and with it lockdown.Settlement was mid- lockdown level 4. Ingrid and the lawyers bent over backwards to rearrange everything and with a window of 24 hours from level 3 to 4. I shifted. I can not speak highly enough of Ingrid, or the team at Southeby's. I feel fortunate to have engaging Ingrid to sell my home. She brought with her an air of professionalism and friendliness, she was upfront and to the point with absolutely no waffle, my sort of person…. We have all had a bad experience with pushy salespeople, Ingrid breaks that mould by bringing a straight forward factual approach without being pushy. She knows her market, every week she was informing me what my competition was and what had sold in the area. In a down market that isn’t always the news you want to necessarily hear - but what you need to hear. Ingrid supplied me with the facts and let me make my own decisions. I had tried to sell my property 12 months prior and, unfortunately for me the market had stepped back by the time I tried to sell again. Ingrid achieved a sale for me that allowed me to move forward, while licking my wounds it was what I wanted and I have no regrets. It was the market that dictated the sale price and if your agent is doing their job correctly, as Ingrid did, you don’t feel hard done by at the end of the process. I have always felt that if you make a decision in your own mind you should never have any regrets, if that decision is forced on you, you will always have regrets.
