In most areas, Giles Simons has been great - good knowledge of the market on Banks Peninsula, prompt answers with our questions and good suggestions on different paths forward. A couple of areas are of concern: - Not revealing the consequences of accepting a lower deposit. Should the prospective purchaser fail to fulfil his contractual obligations, the lower deposit will be completely used up by real estate agent fees, lawyer's fees and auctioneer's fees. Indeed, we may well have to pay extra monies for these fees (over and above the deposit) and still have no sale of our property. - Although not completely the fault of Harcourts Grenadier, a cash buyer was allowed to slip through the net at the auction.
Giles was able to give our property context and background when he wrote the promotional material, his knowledge of Bank Peninsula was unique and personalised. Giles is a great communicator and responded to all our questions and concerns promptly and directly which was appreciated. He was professional and worked hard to get our property sold.
