The first marketing round produced about 8 firm offers with three very good . The highest was subject only to needing 3 months before completion and David protected our interest by negotiating a 10% non-returnable deposit. Shortly afterwards a death left a difficult situation not previously encountered by agent or solicitor. Although a difficult and unclear situation resulted for a while, David and Ele renewed contacts and proceeded a further sale in a less-favourable market where the Open Days produced unexpectedly encouraging responses giving us again an excellent field of choice. Thanks also to the excellent stagers which we think helped a lot. Our present situation is that we are delighted to be moving towards settlement soon. The only, and quite minor, criticism we have is that the section tidy up was a bit more heavy-handed than we would have been but we can hardly complain-that's what the experts are for! Overall, David did an excellent job both in the selling and in liaising with our daughter and our two sons keeping all in contact at the critical meetings.
