My husband and I were wanting to purchase a house but we weren't actively looking as we weren't in any rush. While in town one Saturday afternoon we decided to have a look what's for sale in the window of First National (as nothing jumped out at us when looking online) . Then along came Anshul - we thought he was a stranger asking if we were looking at buying. Anshul asked what we were looking for, where in Blenheim, and price range - then said he had a property coming up, he gave us his card and it was all up and up from there. It only took a couple of weeks before Anshul had found us our dream home. Walked in, inspected it (as you do) and made an offer. Anshul managed to track me down through share determination and detective work. This property had been empty for a number of years due to lack of money and extensive repairs required before it could be let or sold. Mortgage was also on fixed interest rate. After tracking me down via different council records etc. one evening my wife received a phone call from Anshul asking if he could talk to myself. I wasnt home so my wife asked him to ring back after 5pm. Anshul called back that evening and we arranged a meeting. I have to admit I was rather skeptical when Anshul told me the property would likely fetch a price in the high end of $400 to $500k. This was the statement that persauded me that he was the man to sell the house for me. I was still very sceptical that Anshul would manage to pull off what he said he could achieve. Anshul started with a couple of open homes while my family pitched in to get it ready for sale. I had stated it was on the market as is but the family decided it had to be sorted as much as possible. After two open homes Anshul brought seven offers, the best of which was in the high $400ks. A few issues later the property is now unconditional with Anshul true to his word.
