One of the many things I enjoy about real estate is meeting people, buyers and sellers - everyone has their own story to tell and I get to see a very meaningful part of their lives.
My career prior to real estate was in hotel management. Hotel managers interact with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, which is really similar to my role now, in real estate. It’s a people business, and that’s what I love most about it.
I mainly work in the Eastern Beaches region of Auckland. It’s very cosmopolitan which means I get to enjoy a stunning environment, while also constantly learning and understanding different ways of life.
My business partner Bob Adler and I have worked together for 17 years. A feature of our work is that we specialise in property improvements. This is to help our clients prepare their property for market adding extra appeal to attract more buyers. We have a maintenance trailer with all the tools that clients need – it comes with a ‘To Do List’ with photos and our recommendations. Combined with my interior design skills, it offers our clients that extra level of service.
Another plus of our partnership is that I am Chinese, I speak Mandarin, and Bob comes from a European background – so we have wide appeal and can cross cultural borders as a team. The benefits of our partnership cannot be underestimated as our track record shows.
Life outside of work for me is bringing up my two lovely boys with my husband Peizh. I make time when I can for skiing, travelling and yoga. To unwind, I like listening to music and I love to read.
Like Barfoot & Thompson, I like to support organisations within my community too – the Red Cross, Salvation Army and St Johns Ambulance and the Cockle Bay Tennis Club, Lawn Bowling Club and the Huntington Park Community Board.
Together with Bob, we’ve proven that our motto yields results “Do it once, do it right. There are no shortcuts.”
Call me for a friendly chat. I’d love to hear from you.
