Alison has been amazing throughout the process. She was super knowledgeable and walked us through the process and then was really positive and organised and kept the momentum up which ultimately resulted in a quick sale for a great price that we were really happy with. Alison is lovely to deal with and we can't recomend her enough and will definitely be using Alison again in the future.
Overall a good experience with Alison, timely comms and responses to questions, and using WhatsApp for comms worked really well. Three issues to mention for improvement. i) While we would be happy to recommend Alison, we are not sure Harcourts is the right agency due to their $750 AML/admin fee they charge, whereas other agencies include this in their standard commission fee. ii) we were given two versions of the Harcourts agency contract to review prior to the day we met to sign the agency contract where a third version was presented to us. This put us in an awkward position as we had not read the new version and were being asked to sign it. iii) about half the open homes were not well attended so not sure the marketing worked. A real positive was that Alison (agent) and Sharon (mgr) advised to counter the buyers first offer at a higher level then we were thinking would be acceptable. The final price achieved was a mid way between the initial offer price and the counter offer Alison/Sharon recommended. A good outcome.

She was always polite and cheerful and helpful with advice re marketing etc. She was knowledgeable about the market and kept me up to date with what was happening. Alison listened to what I was looking for and provided me with a variety of options. She even set me up with another agent when I looked at a pleace outside of her area. If you are looking to sell your house or for that matter buy a house you wouldn't be able to do much better than with Alison. My Siblings and I had to sell my Mother's house and we all live overseas, from the first contact with Alison I knew we were dealing with a professional, Alison kept us all informed and went above and beyond making update telephone calls at a minimum weekly and when there was something to discuss without a thought that she was calling us well out of office hours (must have been late at night for her!). Every week we would get an emailed update of the progress and in a relatively flat market pulled out all the stops and got the House sold. All in all you should not pass up the opportunity to work with Alison she is an absolute gem and when I move back to New Zealand I Know who I will be calling. Richard Gilberd.
