Through out the selling process Alan communicated in a timely and regular manner. His knowledge and experience of the Akaroa market was, we believe, an advantage to us. He brought his negotiating skills to the fore to secure us a sale, in what is an extremely quiet market.

I very much appreciated Alan's guiding hand throughout the marketing process. He knows the Akaroa market very well. Quietly spoken, he explained everything I needed to know clearly and without fuss. He was quite clear about how the house should look and saw that it was kept tidy. He seemed happy to put the wheelie bins out and collect them in. Alan was open and honest about likely prices for the property and kept me informed about prices for similar properties. In the end, I sold for a price lower than the one we initially asked for, but I have no problem with that. It's difficult to assess his negotiation skills because in the finish we had only one prospective buyer. However, I commend him for getting a price higher than the one initially offered. Alan really put himself out for me. I will always remember the rainy night in January (about two days before the house was to go on the market) when blocked guttering caused water to run down an interior wall. In response to my panicky phone call, Alan turned up with a machine to suck water out of the carpet! In short, in my admittedly somewhat limited experience, Alan is someone I would willingly work with again.
Alan was so helpful, always happy to go the extra mile and do what was needed to get our bach sold.

Alan was beside me every step of the way on my journey to purchase my new home. I was looking for a Christchurch home but lived out of town so I I gave Alan the criteria I was looking for in a new home. His understanding of the market and types of homes available meant he was able to schedule viewings of properties that most closely met my criteria. He worked with other agents to enable viewings to happen within the timeframe that I was in town. He even took me to a couple that on first glance I may not have chosen but as he got to know my preferences he knew they would help me in the selection process.
