We had a poor experience with this agent. Terrible comms, then when we chased up the reply would be something along the lines of “the vendor has personal Issues” we initially had empathy, but this wore thin when trying to get answers to the simplest questions. Our initial offer wasn’t presented when it should have been, I have on a message that she was going to present it but didn’t because of this we then ended in a multi offer situation. After very poor comms initially, I then ended up having to fly down south for a family funeral, I was then pressured to get documents signed for the multi offer that had been accepted to prevent the same again, this then took away from requests we wanted in the S&P as I was out of town, if dealt with when it should have been none of this would have occurred. The poor comms continued, we involved our lawyer as apparently the vendor wasn’t communicating, in which Alison decided at that point to wash her hands of comms as “the lawyers are involved” they explained their vendor was “difficult” but this shouldn’t stop just basic comms. The vendor left loads of rubbish around, then literally an entire skip for two weeks after settlement which was in our way, we’ve also had people show up a weeks after settlement requesting items the vendor had promised them, we had requested certain things be removed assuming they would most likely not be taken, with the expectation that all the rest of their other personal items would go as a given, but the agents took that list literal and then seemed a bit annoyed that we wanted all the vendors other items (none were on the chattels or agreed to) to be removed. Removing rubbish & unwanted items costs money, time & energy, it shouldn’t be something we have to feel guilty about requesting. Also our final inspection was a disaster, once again, poor comms, we’ve since found a few issues which if we were able to do the final inspection without disruption we could have picked up on & should have been
We recently purchased our new home in Katikati, Alison was our agent and spent the day showing us many homes, you know how you just meet people and instantly feel comfortable and can talk about anything.....well Alison was this person for us, Sarah was available to show us the house on a second visit with a number of family in tow, we lived a distance from Katikati and didn't always give much notice to see if we could have another visit, we were never turned and never made to feel a nuisance.
