Originally from Shanghai, Yvenna moved to Hamilton early 2000 to study a Bachelor of Management Studies at Waikato University and soon fell in love with New Zealand, moving here permanently. Waikato-local Craig also earned his degree at Waikato University, completing a Bachelor of Communication Studies majoring in marketing and human resource management.
