Peter and Lynette were informative and helpful from the first conversation right through to sorting out the little details after the sale was completed. We're so glad we took their advice for the best way to market our property via auction. The team were always prompt, friendly, and made sure we understood exactly what was going on throughout the process. Nothing is a bother for Peter and Lynette and they always made us feel like we were their most important client, even though I know they were extremely busy at the time of year we were selling. Their extensive local knowledge and experience is unmatched and of great value. Thanks to Peter, Lynette and the whole team for making the sale process as painless as it could be and, very importantly, for getting us a good and timely result.

Lynette and Peter worked well as a team and gave us good advice about how to market and present our home in the best possible way to attract a range of potential buyers. They used their knowledge of Diamond Harbour to provide helpful information to potential buyers at the Open Homes and they matched the needs of these buyers to the features of our home that would be most likely to encourage them to buy it. Their professionalism is outstanding in particular in relation to the care they took whilst we were overseas during the open homes. They also used their staging contacts to ensure the house was presented in the best possible light to assist buyers. They took us on the Auction route which was new to us and we don't regret selling it in this manner. Lynette is very pleasant and easy to deal with face to face and on the phone and Peter offers very useful practical advice in an understated manner. Nothing is too much trouble for them!

We chose to work with Lynette because of her and her husband’s combined years of experience in the Diamond Harbour area, which gave us confidence in their local knowledge and expertise. I do believe her intent was there, and she wanted to work hard on our behalf. We also recognise our property had its complexities, and Lynette had plenty of portfolios to work on. However, we don’t feel those factors excuse some of the key details that were missed. The first issue came with offers. After letting the initial offer go (which was fine), the next offer came in $10,000 lower. We were understandably not stoked, but more concerning was that Lynette said she had forgotten and believed it was the same as the first offer. That lack of attention to detail didn’t inspire confidence. Secondly, our property went to auction and the for sale sign outside was tagged with graffiti. After the auction passed in, instead of properly addressing it, a sticker was placed over the auction details and the graffiti was left. When we checked it ourselves, it turned out to be liquid chalk and came off almost instantly. The following day, we received an email thanking us for removing it, stating they had seen it but didn’t know how to remove it - which didn’t feel entirely honest given how easy it was to clean. Finally, there was confusion around our settlement date. While I appreciate Lynette’s desire to ensure everything was on track, questioning our understanding of the date - only to later admit she didn’t have the contract in front of her - didn’t feel professional. Overall, I don’t doubt her effort or intentions, but the number of missed details, particularly with something as important as selling a home, made for a frustrating experience. Unfortunately, this fell short of our expectations and we wouldn’t recommend. We do sincerely wish Lynette the best.

Our agents were exceptional. They lived in the area and recognised the potential our house had to offer buyers. Their advice on how to sell, staging, timeframes etc were invaluable. They kept us up to date with what was happening. It was a very positive experience.
