Pro-active, well informed, agreeable
The Harcourts Team, Amy and Abbey, were asked by us to provide a valuation of our property, which they did in a timely fashion. We reviewed the valuation against valuations from other companies over the past 2-3 years and also sought to understand the real estate market disruptions of COVID as explained by several NZ economists. Amy and Abbey then reported that they had met with a couple who had been looking for a type of property similar to ours and they asked if we would consider a viewing by that couple. We agreed and the couple confirmed their interest. It was agreed that the couple would propose a price. They did this and we accepted the offer. This simplified process avoided the need of staging, marketing etc which we appreciated. The offer was provisional on a medical report for Donal Curtin, one of the purchasers. The purchasers also indicated that they hoped to acquire some of the large furniture items in the house. We asked if they may also be interested in other items including equipment and tools that have been used in the maintenance of the property such as the three mowers, robotic, ride-on, battery push mowers plus battery line trimmers, chain saws, blowers and the associated batteries and chargers. The final request from the Curtins was delayed until they returned from their holiday in mid October. Amy and Abbey acted as interlocutors during this extended process. We are very grateful to both Harcourts agents for their assistance during this extended process which has greatly streamlined the sale of the house for us.
