•My wife and I live in the lower North Island, and were planning to sell our house in Cromwell. With a variety of commitments in our local area we were not able attend to the arrangements directly. We decided that by using our experience and researching the Central Otago real estate marketing players we should be able to oversee the process remotely, with the confidence that the outcome would be suitable. We selected three salespersons from Cromwell based on their sales history, personal profile and recommendations. We invited the three candidates to register their interest in marketing our house. Two candidates responded within hours while the third took a much more leisurely approach. Over the next two days we communicated with the candidates about their marketing strategies. The first two candidates responded in reasonable time whilst the third maintained their more casual approach. From this experience we invited the first two candidates to video interviews. We felt it was essential for us to get to know the person we were going to engage to represent out interests in this important transaction. Although both candidates rated highly in our assessment, Keeley Anderson won the day, and we were confident that we had chosen wisely. Among the attributes that made Keeley stand above the competition were her outstanding communications, her immediate responsiveness regardless of time or day of the week, and her infectious enthusiasm for her role. These strengths were supported by impressive levels of professionalism and diligence in her advice to us and her conduct in marketing our property. Marketing was only two weeks long, and the sale was completed with a good price and an unconditional offer. The house had gone on the market on the 25th of one month with final settlement on the 28th of the following month. We are very happy with the process, end-to-end, and we feel we have made a friend. We are absolutely unequivocal in our praise for Keeley.
