•These comments reflect on Carolyn Burn, not the company she works with/for. I bought a property advertised as a deadline sale. I do not do deadline sales as I consider them to be corrupt fictions of agencies. The advertising said unless sold prior. I told Carolyn of my intentions which was to make an offer in cash with a short deadline which would be my best offer. That was presented to the vendors. My discussions with Carolyn were open and after my own research I thought the offer was fair. If not successful it would be withdrawn after the deadline of mine. I also said any counter offers would most likely result in tearing up the contract. I realise agents have to represent offers which may have a counter offer so if it came back counter offered, I may just go back with a higher price if I didn’t tear it up. And that leads to nowhere. In short was the offer was accepted and the property was paid in full two weeks in advance of settlement date. Because of the very short time between the offer being accepted and payment. I did not want to go through the other contentious matter of paying an overly high deposit to the agency. The commission to them was settled at the same time. No double handling. This deal was closed quickly and sensibly thanks to Carolyn getting what I was attempting to do. Carolyn‘s good communicative skills between those intentions and the vendor who she represented well in closed the deal. So thanks very much, Carolyn. If I ever have dealings with this company again that you work under, I’ll only deal with you. Regards Barry Feickert
