What's around 10 Cedar Street

FIRST TIME ON THE MARKET IN 59 YEARS.

Built for the current owner in 1966, this solid three-bedroom home is full of potential and is now ready for its next chapter. This split level home, upstairs features a spacious lounge with a wood burner, a good-sized kitchen and dining area that flows out to a sunny deck, plus a large pantry and a new hot water cylinder. The combined bathroom is complemented by a second toilet for convenience. And downstairs offers a generous laundry area, study, and a single internal access garage plus workshop, along with lots of storage space under the house. Outside the house has been reroofed and is painted in modern colours. The section is fully fenced, sunny and private with a great backyard for children and pets to play. There is also the added bonus of a gate through to the neighbouring council reserve for older children to explore. Situated in a great location, the home is a 200 metre walk to the Maungaraki shops, primary school, Play Centre or Kindergarten and transport links. You are only minutes to the motorway, Petone or Lower Hutt and importantly within Hutt Valley High School Zone. This is a rare opportunity to secure a home in popular Maungaraki. After more than 59 years in the same hands, it’s time for new owners to move in and make it their own. *Source of information: Property Guru, Nexus, Lower Hutt City Council (non-verified)

Great work

Chrissy helped make a very stressful process - selling my dad's house while dealing with cancer - much easier. She gave us a realistic appraisal, using comparable recent sales in the area. She put us in touch with Taskmasters to help get the house ready for sale, and went the extra mile by getting her builder son to do some minor repairs, and arranging for a plumber to do an inspection for an unconsented 2nd toilet. Both Taskmasters' work and the council consent process ended up being a lot more expensive than anticipated, but it needed to be done. Dad's house sold at the top end of the estimates Chrissy had given us, which we were very please with.
