•There are moments in life when we need someone who truly understands, someone with empathy, compassion, and a genuine heart. Too often, people focus on doing a good job but forget the human side of things, the emotions and challenges faced by those on the other end of the phone. When my fiancée and I invited Holly from Bayley’s Real Estate to sell our house, we had just been through hell. Another Real Estate agent from the area, (whom we have been informed is no longer in the area) had made such an awful, unprofessional, and unethical attempt to sell our home, even sabotaging the process multiple times, whether intentionally or not, that we were left devastated. We were upset, exhausted, and unsure how things would go moving forward. After months of difficult experiences, our trust in the process, and in people, had been shaken. Holly came in with honesty, integrity, professionalism, and a humble heart. She listened to us, to what we had been through, and approached everything with a fresh perspective on selling our home and helping us move forward. She took away the overwhelming aspects of the process. Having Holly on board felt like an angel had walked among us. Calm, caring, and empathetic qualities that are rare and precious. Despite the stress of her role, she always spoke with kindness and understanding. She listened, offered thoughtful feedback and solutions, and never rushed us. Instead, she made us feel like we were the only people who mattered in that moment. Both my fiancée and I work in demanding government roles, spending much of our lives giving, supporting, and volunteering. Yet it is rare to meet someone as genuine and beautiful in character as her. On inner beauty and character, this is Holly: “Ruia taitea kia tū ko taikaka anake.” Strip away the sapwood, and only the heartwood remains. We have no words other than thank you, and even that feels inadequate. With much love, Bronnie and Mark x
