Professionalism and Service as Advertised

Right from the first introduction, Kees is very personable, and I don't think this is a biased comment despite the introduction being from a family member/acquaintance of Kees. He had a lot of confidence in his ability to promote and sell our property, some of which I put down to the market being a "sellers market". However, he was quite clear in how he would do the marketing, what the likely costs would be to the vendor, what potential buyers he would target, and the nationwide/international network that could be leveraged (I found out the "international" meant ex-pats via a marketing report statistic received after the open house events that showed interest from Europe as an example). His knowledge of the market is good/great (as you would expect of someone in their job), but he was particularly clear to point out the specific market dynamics that would add to the appeal of selling during the period we interacted (August 2019~February 2020). He was also very good at keeping expectations within reality. Kees is not afraid to say "Nah, that's not going to happen" if an over-expectation question was asked. I liked that. He was also realisitic and honest if he did not know or have a response, particularly when we were working on the reserve price to quote (I should add that the pre-meeting with the auctioneer was very valuable too). We were able to obtain a result in excess of various barometers (like CV, Kees' "gut" feeling, reserve price etc.), and in the end that is all a vendor can hope for. I live permantly in Japan, but all communications were timely and I felt in the loop every step of the way. I watched in on the auction via FaceTime, so if it makes sense, providing a way to do that may be an additional service for potential vendors going forward. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Kees as an agent for anyone looking to sell. On behalf of my sister and I, I'd like to thank Kees for the overall experience.
